Had an awesome time with friends! The hotel was in a great spot for rock climbing and whitewater rafting. Loved the service and found the breakfast choices to be solid. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed the tennis courts too. Definitely a good place for a group trip!
One downside was the parking situation. it filled up quickly, so arriving early is a must if you want a good spot.

great base for exploring new river gorge and local parks
I was truly impressed by how close this place is to the New River Gorge, only about 1.5 km away, making it super easy to explore those breathtaking views, and just a short stroll of 1 km took me to the lovely Cascade Festival Grounds, perfect for a relaxing walk after a day of adventures.

The location is ideal, just minutes from the scenic New River Gorge Bridge. While the room offered convenience with working appliances, it did suffer from wear and a lingering smoke odor. Breakfast was disappointing, consisting of cold, rubbery eggs and an underwhelming selection, leading to an uneventful start to the day. However, the bar and grill provided decent bites, and the pool looked well-maintained.

Enjoyed the proximity to the New River Gorge, making it easy to access outdoor activities. The pet-friendly room included a microwave and fridge, which added convenience to our stay.
The cleaning left something to be desired. the bathroom looked generally fine but the floor and tub needed a thorough scrub. Also, the deceptive pet-fee structure was frustrating, along with large piles of dog poop around the grassy areas that made walking a challenge. Upon checking in, we also dealt with power outages that left the place in darkness without any backup lanterns. The doors didn't quite close all the way, which felt like a security issue.

This was a solid choice for the night! Clean room, friendly staff, and that ribeye steak was killer! The bar area was super chill, perfect for unwinding after a long ride. Just wish the pool was open later. Overall, the vibe is fun and laid-back, just what I needed after a day on the road.
